How can I train my dog to stop frantically barking everytime he sees another dog?
My dog was not trained nor sent to obedience school when he was a puppy (he’s 3 years old now), and when we adopted him, he was pretty easy to train except for one area: he continues to bark like mad everytime he sees another dog. When we are walking, he cannot control himself but he will tug and TUG while whining and barking at that other dog (while the other dog ignores him!).
This is also a problem at home, because he frequently barks at other people or dogs from our living room window. How can I train him to not bark so often, outside AND inside?
Thank you very much for your time and assistance ^ o ^ ~

If you don’t want him to bark indoors, you could say audibly "No noise!" or just a "No!". Don’t yell it though. You don’t want to encourage him barking at home. When he is quiet for an hour or so, give him a treat. When he’s barking towards other dogs, a quick tug on the leash could work. Other than that, I don’t know. Does your dog walk infront of you or behind/beside you? Walking infront means he is the leader and he will do what he wants.
